1 Behold I say unto you at this time: Be of good cheer, for those whom I call I chastise and try, lest when the battle is at its height they fall.

2 Ye have been tried, and yet will be tried, for I prove all who would come unto Me.

3 Behold and give ear and strive diligently to keep the commandments that I have given you.

4 Strive to pay thy debts that thou hast accumulated against My instructions, and if thou wilt strive with all thy might thou wilt be blessed to this end.

5 Pray always and faint not.

6 Murmur not at thy afflictions, for they teach thee wisdom.

7 Know ye not that when ye serve Me the whole world is against you? For the world lieth in sin and even those of thy brethren shall revile against thee; and there will be those who shall even seek thy life.

8 Study those things that ye have been given and be not negligent in thy duties.
