2nd Book of Commandments 131

Revelation received in August, 1986
At Santaquin, Utah

Behold My son, ye are commanded not to do any missionary work except what I shall command ye to do. For it is not the purpose of My school to do this, for is it not the Educational Arm of My Zion?
This I have commanded you on several occasions in the past, but ye do not yet understand, and continue to disregard what I have said.
And concerning those who now desire to be affiliated with you after they have previously left and committed all manner of evil against Me.
Behold, I say unto you, ye shall not take any such among you until they truly repent and show works meet for repentance.
For where were they when ye suffered persecutions and sorrows? Behold they had fled.
Therefore, their works cannot be regarded, and ye shall not baptize them until their works be evident.
Behold, I say unto you, mercy claimeth not justice, for why should they reap when they sow not, for such is not the economy of My kingdom.
And if ye are faithful, ye shall have earned My kingdom, and shall inherit a much weightier glory; and where ye go they cannot come, worlds without end.
And concerning My maidservant Mildred, behold have I not said that if someone take ye to the law for thy coat, ye shall give unto them thy cloak also?
10 Therefore, ye shall not neglect her; for have I not said that ye shall forgive all who transgress against thee, that ye be not harbored up with ill feelings-- for, for this reason, some do have ill health among you.

11 And unto My servants: I have called them to accomplish many difficult tasks, which if they do willingly, I will bless them with a multiplicity of blessings.
12 Because of this calling, the works that ye are required to do are of much greater importance, and have significance and influence over many people.
13 Nevertheless, ye are no longer required to raise thy voice to the church, except to those who step forward to inquire of thee individually, for have ye not called upon Me in solemn assembly to bind up the law, and seal up the testimony against them?
14 And I have heard thy prayers and supplications, and I have complied with thy request, for ye have done it according to My word and My will, and Mine angel did attend and witness; and what was done on earth was also recognized and recorded in the heavens.
15 And ye have wondered concerning the pall of darkness that seemed to overshadow thee.
16 Behold, I your Savior say unto you it is the adversary who desireth thy soul, and he rageth, for he knows that his time is short, and he desireth to take all with him that they be miserable like unto himself.
17 Oh that ye could understand the mind of God, then ye could see with His eyes and hear with His ears, and know truly the wickedness of man.
18 For their wickedness is the mind of darkness, and the path thereof.
19 But in doing so, would ye not be consumed with sorrow and die? For such is the wickedness of men, for it maketh the heavens weep, and the bowels of God do pain exceedingly.
20 For they call the wickedness of fornication a blessing, and the sin of hypocrisy a gift.
21 Yea, even the servants I have called and have set aside are but little children, knowing little of My mind and will.
Even so, Amen.
