2nd Book of Commandments 162

Revelation received April 18, 1990
At Santaquin, Utah

My son, I your Savior will comply with the request of My maidservant Deborah2 concerning the matter of the house in Santaquin.
Behold I say unto her that it will be well with her if she will comply with the signs and witnesses she has received from Me concerning My Servant;
And if she does this with a sincere heart, it will not be necessary for her to do anything concerning this property.
Nevertheless, if she continues to seek others and desires to take the path of Babylon, behold this decision she will make will be dictated by the Babylonian laws which she has chosen over those of Mine.
For I force no person to comply with My laws, for they must live them with a willing heart.
For this house was obtained to show that My hand was in the matter-- and as a sign unto her as to her rightful head.
And if it is still her desire to continue on in the path she has chosen, then any promises are of none effect, and she hath no inheritance, for there has been no agreement or covenant;
For only when there is a covenant and laws are lived is there any reward or inheritance.
For if someone desires to live by My laws and My statutes, behold, they are judged by them;
10 But if they desire to live by the laws of Babylon, they are then subject to these laws.
11 For one cannot claim justice under My hand unless they are living by My laws.
12 For even in Babylon each state or country hath their own laws, and only if an agreement exists between them, men are not bound by a law existing in another state or country.
13 And behold, I compromise not, for if My laws are not kept there is no promise.
14 And thus is the case of My maidservant Deborah2, she cannot claim protection or justice under My laws unless she has complied with these statutes, and is living under them.
15 And thus she must seek justice under the laws she has chosen.
16 For have I not said in My scripture that ye should render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's?
17 And again, have I not said in another place that ye cannot serve God and Mammon? For no man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
18 For is not this the understanding of these sayings made while I was yet on the earth?
19 And behold My maidservant claimeth that she be a widow and her children orphans; behold I say unto you she be not a widow, for I, even her Savior, have given unto her a goodly husband, how then can she say, I have no husband, and my children be without a father?
Even so, Amen.
