2nd Book of Commandments 65

Revelation received January 1981
At Cardston, Alberta, Canada

Behold I say unto you My son: thus saith the LORD unto you, yea even Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, yea even the Voice of Jehovah doth speak unto you.
I have made men's life to extend three score years and ten, and in this time he is allotted to seek after his salvation that he may again stand in My presence from whence he came, to be judged according to the works he hath done in the flesh.
Of these seventy years, speaking according to the length of days, months and years of your earth, sixty of these shall he work and labor as was commanded of Adam.
And even as I labored to organize and prepare this earth, even the six periods of time called days, likewise ye shall work the sixty years to accomplish all that ye can to earn a living and build up your inheritance in righteousness.
And after ye have accomplished this ye shall rest and reap the fruits of your labors.
Nevertheless, ye shall not be idle in these years, but ye shall no longer be bound by the commandment given to Adam to work by the sweat of your brow to earn your living, but ye shall be free to teach, exhort and call upon the people to repent and seek righteousness.
If it is My will that your years are extended beyond the seventy years, ye shall continue faithful to the end that your reward may be complete.
And those that work little or not at all shall not be found in Zion, for they shall be cast out.
Each man shall be rewarded by his works, for why should a man be rewarded for that which he hath not worked for?
10 And thus shall equality be found in Zion and her stakes.

11 As to thee My son, ye have asked Me concerning the prophecy that ye will leave this existence within a five year period if no one steps forth to take especial care of thy health.
12 Behold I say unto you, this shall surely come to pass if no one will step forward.
13 Those who were called have fallen and they shall surely reap their reward.

14 If they will have it, it is My will that My maidservants Opal and Heather be called to look after thee until another be chosen, that perhaps thy days be lengthened.
15 And again ye have asked Me concerning why My Spirit resteth not upon you as greatly as in the past.
16 Behold I say unto you, that it is because there is much contention and strife in thy household that it is not oft that My Spirit can abide there.
17 And there are those that harbor unkind thoughts one toward another, which thing is displeasing to Me and My Spirit cannot abide.
18 Ye shall make haste to repair your house and I will make it financially possible for thee to move soon if thou art faithful in all matters.
Even so, Amen.
